Monitored high-priority STI investigations, including congenital syphilis and syphilis in women of reproductive age. 

Data Analysis

Enhanced data accuracy and trend analysis by developing comprehensive STI surveillance spreadsheets to monitor STI case counts for seven local public health departments.

Completed the annual STI data reconciliation process with the CDC to ensure data integrity and compliance.

Quality Improvement

Collaborated with local schools in Coeur D’Alene to decrease student incomplete immunization records by evaluating current procedures, compiling and entering student record data in databases, and working with parents. 

Data Visualization

Developed a public-facing Tableau dashboard that displayed quarterly STI case counts to improve public access to real-time data.

Managed the annual STI surveillance reporting and improved accessibility by converting the report from a static PDF to an interactive Tableau dashboard.

Grant Writing and Management

Wrote, monitored, and evaluated the CDC Strengthening STD Prevention and Control for Health Departments (STD PCHD) Grant.

Successfully negotiated subgrant language between health districts and the Department of Health and Welfare (DHW).

Monitored and calculated yearly subgrant budgets, including the approval and tracking of monthly invoices for public health districts.

Case Investigations

Reviewed and distributed electronic case reports (eCRs) in the NEDSS Base System (NBS) for positive SARS-CoV-2 lab results and MIS-C diagnosis to the correct jurisdiction.

Conducted COVID-19 surveillance in public and private schools across Idaho.
